Peggy Guggenheim

The iconic art collector has long been a fascination of mine. From writing my dissertation on her played down influence on Jackson Pollock to her collection in Venice, in which, along with the 2007 Biennale, became the saviours of my sanity during the three months I lived there. There's only so many churches I can enthuse over.

It appears that fashion too has taken an interest in the somewhat eccentrically dressed, wild spirited character. POP magazine has dedicated the current issue to her...


Karl Lagerfeld's 2009 shoot for US Harpers Bazaar sees Lara Stone dripping in Guggenheim-esq glamour.


A nod towards Guggenheim was evident in last year's Chanel Cruise Collection as well as this Spring's Milly catwalks...
