Style Conscious - David Hockney

“Style is something you can use, and you can be like a magpie, just taking what you want.  The idea of rigid style seemed to me, something you needn’t concern yourself with, it would trap you.”
-  David Hockney

Iris Apfel for MAC

The 'Geriatric Starlet' is set to collaborate with MAC on her own line of outlandish coloured lipsticks, eye shadows and blushes. With colours suitably named as 'Party Parrot' and 'Loudmouth Orange', I can't wait. After all you can never have too many statement lipsticks (trust me, I have all of MAC's brightest colours so a new addition is eagerly awaited). I have high expectations for this collaboration - I just hope it's as eccentric and exuburant as Apfel herself.

The 90 year old style icon.

Karen Dalton was part of the Greenwich Villiage Folk music scene in the 1960s. Bob Dylan remarked the first time he saw her that "she had a voice like Billie Holiday and played guitar like Jimmy Reed... ".
