The Scheme

I thought Andrea Arnold's Red Road was pretty depressing (and amazing), but I've just finished watching The Scheme, the BBC's controversial documentary on the housing scheme in Onthank, Kilmarnock. An insight perhaps, but it's more than a coincidence that the depicted all know eachother. Surely look outside the box? Not everyone from estates fall into drug-addled, alcohol-fuelled lives of crime. No wonder the council leaders want the plug to be pulled on the show... But you know I'm still going to watch the next three episodes (that's if they're aired), it's human intrigue ain't it?!
