Jil Sander Navy Fall 2012

Absolutely love everything about this collection, especially those pale blue flatforms (yes flatforms, I've taken up using the fashion lingo).

Jil Sander Spring 2012 Campaign

Natasha Poly & Daria Strokous, Jil Sander Spring 2012 Campaign by Willy Vanderperre

This very atmospheric campaign is reminiscent of Hitchcock and his films The Birds and Psycho - close up shots of glazed looks and chilling, distorted shadows. Bloody love it.

Boo Ritson

(via AnOther)

Boo Ritson uses the human body as her canvas, painting the flesh, skin and clothes of her sitters to create various American stereotypes, from the likes of the air hostess, the cowboy and the beauty pageant queen. The imagined narratives and character clichés are entirely of her own creation; rather than being anything to do with the person beneath. These three-dimensional painted masks are incredibly short-lived, washed away when the paint dries, and so only existing as photographic documents shot by her photographer Andy Crawford. Jil Sander utilised Ritson's talent to creatively document the Autumn/Winter 2011 collection in Garage Magazine.

eOvu Forever

I bought this beautiful dress from the equally beautiful Daniela from eOvu on Etsy with my paypal fake money, just as a little treat for setting up my very own Etsy shop. It really reminded me of the Jil Sander dress from the Spring/Summer collection, as well as the fitted maxis in the Bally ad campaign.

Winter Florals

Manet, 1862
My parents have just got back from Paris. And they very kindly bought me a little t-shirt from Musee d'Orsay. Apparently the floral print originates from Manet's 'Lola de Valence' but it reminds me more of Jil Sander's Fall Collection.
