PFW 1 - Balmain, can it be affordable?

This Spring sees the first 'affordable' disfusion line from Balmain (to be named after its founder Pierre). Aimed at a younger, more 'edgy' generation, this supposed effortless cool is embodied by Abbey Lee and so, (supported by her band, Our Mountain and front man boyfriend) becomes the face of the campaign short film for the Pierre Balmain line. Until the collection is finally unveiled at Paris Fashion Week here's my favourites from the original Balmain label:

Our Age of Adolescence

Bristol's very own Andy Martin

'British Youth 2' by Hedi Slimane, Dazed & Confused (via Hedi Slimane's Fashion Diary). Watch out for Andy in the forthcoming Topman campaign. Very well done!

1916

I'm a bit slow on its return but tonight I've managed to catch up with 'Downton' (as I'm sure most female pensioners call it). I bloody love a good period drama, especially with the wry sourpuss Maggie Smith. This is the ultimate lazy Sunday evening viewing, just add the tea and Nice biscuits and it will soften the blow of the imminent working week.
