I started watching Pan Am last night. Admittedly it's not as flawless and elegant looking as Mad Men (just look at the period interiors and panoramic views of the cities, they look a little cheap in comparison), and it's certainly a lot glossier and family-friendly than Boardwalk Empire, but it seems to capitivate an exciting era for both women and technology. And plus it has (a very skinny) Christina Ricci in - I've loved her since Now and Then, and she plays a character not dissimilar to the boisterous and opinionated Roberta. Bring on episode three...
