The Face Behind the Green Lady

Vladimir Tretchikoff's Chinese Girl, 1950

Tretchikoff's model Monika Sing Lee, whose image was reproduced time and time again, becoming one of the most popular prints of the 50s and 60s. She however never reaped the benefits and lived in relative poverty for the rest of her life.
