The exploration of the power of public art and how it aids the revitalisation of urban communties. Well interesting.

Street Surrealism

Interesni Kazki (via Flavorwire)

These crazy-ass murals by the Ukranian duo are slowly creeping over the city of Kiev. From re-inventing the Greek myth of King Sisyphus as a metaphor for capitalism to spray-painting Surreal scenes of peasants on an abandoned barn in the Ukrainian countryside. Eye-catching and mind-bending.

This Is Not Jim

Just watching Exit Through the Gift Shop. I'm not a fan of Banksy, you could even say that I'm a hater but it doesn't stop me from being intrigued. I like a hearty documentary after all, especially when it reminds me of these beauties...

This is Vincent, not Jim. He's a real person - a friend and old uni housemate. His face is all over Berlin and Regenburg. He doesn't know who's done this, or how they found the image of him, but I guess that's the social-networking era for you.
