The Twat Hat

Don't get me wrong, I love a good hat, I have loads of hats. But these days you see a fedora or wide-brimmed hat all over these blogs and you just get the wrong impression of them (and the hat), that they're attention seeking, cocky idiots. Can we change this? Back in the day you wouldn't leave the house without a trusty head accessory. I think the problem lies in the fact that once a hat is firmly on all amiability and glimmers of a smile disappear. Thus my equation for success is good hat + smile = Non-Twat.

My current fav. A vintage find from BTR a while ago.

Sadly the famous can get away with the non-smile look...

No matter what, every winter season we see the re-emergence of those shiny little discs in all shapes and sizes. The reason being is that they're just so darn versatile and easy to wear (just add a pair of jeans and/or sky high heels and away you go...). And perfect for the lazy accessorizer like myself, you just need to let the sequins speak for themselves.
